Facebook’s chief executive and founder Mark Zuckerberg has been targeted by hackers last night. They took over his fan page and posted the following message pretending to be him: “Let the hacking begin: If Facebook needs money, instead of going to the banks, why doesn't Facebook let its users invest in Facebook in a social way? Why not transform Facebook into a ‘social business’ the way Nobel Price winner Muhammad Yunus described it? http://bit.ly/fs6rT3 What do you think? #hackercup2011.” Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant said: "Facebook users - famous or not - need to take better care of their social networking security,”. Facebook has since removed Zuckerberg’s fan page from the site and have refused to comment on the security breach.
Graham Cluley is right. Facebook users should be more careful with their password and privacy. People you do not know can look up a lot of information through your Facebook profile. I think only a small amount of people are aware of this. The weirdest thing is that Mark Zuckerberg himself was hacked (at least his Facebook account). As a founder of Facebook you should have the best security measures possible. I will also check my account on Facebook and I advise everybody to regularly change their passwords as these could be compromised.
